Many British consumers have adopted a lackadaisical move toward to dealing with their home insurance rule, new research suggestsA study carried out by Tesco Home Insurance indicates that over a third of homeowners do not familiarise themselves with the level of cover and conditions of their policyOver two-fifths of consumers also say that their contents cover may not be sufficient coverAllan Burns, head of Tesco Home cover, said: "We would urge all homeowners to understand writing through their documents to familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of the policy they have purchased"Tesco Home Insurance recommends that possessions owners shop around for the most spirited insurance deals, read their policy documents carefully and to keep insurers efficient with any home changes which might crash upon a policyMr Burns said: "We want everyone to make an informed option when buying their home insurance.
